MAVAI MUSICA is an annual series of concerts
curated by METEO MOVEMENT. Between 2022
and 2024, these took place in various venues
in Merano (I), Rovereto (I) and Vilnius (LT).
In 2025, MAVAI MUSICA took a break.
In the meantime, we suggested, and we still do, heading
to your local Merano record store to get your
vinyls and updates. Run by Thomas Strappazzon
and Alessandro Cappelli, PIANOPIANO Records
seeks to spread love through music!

we are excited to announce  
MAVAI MUSICA 2026

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, MAVAI MUSICA 2026 will open a sound cosmos of cello, electronics, and minimal music.
The guest artist is Lukas Lauermann from Austria – cellist and composer.
In his solo project, Lukas Lauermann combines the cello with electronics, samplers, tapes, and effect pedals. With this setup, he creates a “sound cosmos that opens up between moments of deep inner peace and intense sonic experimentation” (Ö1). At times reduced and intimate, at others epic and vast – more orchestral than one would expect from a single instrument.
This music of serious beauty touches both emotion and intellect, evading common categories – and for that very reason, lingers long in the memory. With this motive, this invitation highlights its unique setting, making it one of the last concerts to be held on this spot, on the terrace of the METEO Restaurant.

a working artist and the latter a cook/DJ music
selector  – Meteo is in a beautiful, cream-colored
building right on the river. Handwritten and so
small that it fits on a sheet of A4, the menu
changes regularly, but you can always find
the fantastic pan dell’Oste, grilled friggitelli
in oil and butter – the perfect antipasto
to share.For primi, try the 24-hour ragù or
the amatriciana, to be followed by a
braised meat if Thomas has one on the menu. “
